Workshop: Emotional Damage!

So you know how to tie/be tied, but want to spice up your scenes with soft skills that take your play from focusing on tying rope to focusing on tying a person. This unique 4 hour workshop will challenge you to think about how to really connect with your partner using raw emotion. We will use a simple harness to explore:

• How different modes of tying feeling to both tops and bottoms
• How we can communicate feeling and emotion through rope
• What it means to use rope as touch and movement
• How to non-verbally check in with your partner
• How to express power dynamics in rope
• How tops can express vulnerability and bottoms can be more engaged with their tops

For this class you will want to bring a partner with whom you have tied previously and feel comfortable expression strong emotion. The person doing the tying will need to know a chest or lower body harness they can tie repeatedly and take about 5-10 minutes to tie (you may use two different harnesses and alternate as needed). We will not be suspending during the teaching part of the workshop, but the soft skills techniques we will explore will directly apply to suspension.

Trigger warning: both tops and bottoms will be encouraged to explore both positive and negative emotions. We will work together to create a safe and welcoming space for this to happen.

About the Presenter

Corwin is a top with a wide range of interests. He enjoys Japanese inspired rope bondage, all manner of impact play, as well as fear/sensation/humiliation/objectification play, and inflicting terrible dad jokes on his partners. Having discovered his kinky side from a newspaper cartoon at a very young age, he continues to pursue new and interesting kinks.
