Ready your lassos and join us to explore this fun and beginner-friendly tie!

Hogties are the perfect tie to add to your rope repertoire, whether you are newer to tying or a seasoned rigger. Tie up a bottom and challenge them to squirm away? Immobilize your victim so they are helpless to resist impact, sensation, or other play? See how far you can push your flexibility in this challenging tie (stretch first!)? Hogties are a great place to start!

In this highly interactive class, participants will learn to tie multiple versions of hogties, beginning with a minimalistic one-rope tie and progressing towards more structured ties. Bottoms of all body types and flexibility levels can enjoy the full-body restraint and wriggle-ability of this tie. We will cover modifications that can be made to adjust this tie to bottoms’ individual needs.

Pre-requisites

This class is open to anyone who has taken a Rope 101 and/or is comfortable tying a non-collapsible single column tie (somerville bowline, lark's head, or other).

Class FAQ

• Can I come alone?

  • Class exercises will require a tying partner, but attendees are welcome to audit the class solo.

• How do I find a tying partner for the class?

  • If you aren't already on the Upline Discord server, please feel free to reach out to @AndromedaPrime to ask about getting added. This is a great space to engage with rope community generally, and also connect with potential tying partners.

• What should I bring?

  • Plan to bring 6-8 full length ropes (and 2 half length ropes optionally) and a cutting tool. There will be very limited rope available to borrow.

• What should I wear?

  • Athleisure clothing is generally recommended for the class: wear things you can move freely in, and (for rope bottoms) tighter fitting clothing will be easier to tie over.

  • Please remain fully clothed outside the venue space. Inside the studio, attendees may be topless, although bottoms should remain on.

• What is the COVID policy?

  • Please be prepared to show proof (covid vax card, photo of card, virtual vaccine record, post-vaccine email confirmations) of having received the original COVID vaccine series plus one booster.

Instructor Bio

@AndromedaPrime, or Ellie (she/they) is a queer, ace, top-leaning rope switch based in NYC. She entered the kink scene in the fall of 2021 and quickly found a passion for community building, sharing education and helping make kink spaces more welcoming to newer members.

In rope, Ellie's tying style leans towards dynamic and sadistic rope. They love using rope as a tool for connection via creating intense physical and emotional experiences. She has been teaching introductory kink topics for a year and a half, including Rope 101 at Queer Rope Social in NYC, intro rope classes at Passional in Philly, and Play Parties 101 at several venues.

Demo Bottom Bio

Antimony (she/her) identifies as a submissive, masochistic lesbian bottom and princess. She has over 11 years experience bottoming for rope, suffering, and other forms of dishevelment. Antimony enjoys rope that's restrictive and challenging, and has experience teaching Rope 101's and decorative rope. She especially enjoys hogties for their simple but highly effective form of restriction and ease of use in D/s scenes.
