Flameless Florescent Wax Play

About the Class

Were you the kid that stuck their fingers into melted candle wax? It's ok if you were, that's where a lot of us start. Was it the danger? The sensation? The fun of peeling it off? Whatever the motivation, you have found yourself in the right place. Welcome to Flameless Florescent Wax Play!

Wax is a tool like any other implement used to give sensation, connection, and even pain or fear. How you use the wax will set the tone for the play you wish to have. In this class, you will learn about the different kind of waxes that are appropriate to use safely on the body. There will be a live demonstration of how to set up your space, apply wax, removal, and cleanup. This class is introductory level education that will help you on your way to start playing with wax on your own. There will be some pointers on playing with wax with a flame but will primarily focus on flameless application. Florescent wax will be used in the demonstration but the information provided will transfer to wax of any color. Questions will be answered throughout the class as well as during a Q&A portion at the end so please come with all of the curiosity!

Serafina is an introductory level, safety-forward educator in Central Connecticut. She feels the best part of teaching is sharing the excitement of discovery and instilling confidence in those who may be shy or tentative. Her teaching style starts at a beginner level with heavy emphasis on safety and effective negotiation.

Entering Fetlandia in August 2017, she wanted to learn everything she could about all the wonderful new activities she was seeing around her. That's when the "Education Frenzy" began, attending countless classes and intensives. What inspires Serafina most is creative collaboration, visual shapes and colors, combining mediums and passions, and finding creative solutions around physical limitations. Fun is for everyBODY!
