Blacklight Art Night

Welcome, fellow glow worms!

Art night has come to Upline for an evening of creativity of under the brilliant glow of blacklight. Join us for a night of creativity, connection, and everything glowy.

Who?

This is absolutely a beginner friendly event. No physical skills or prerequisites are required. Come solo, come with a partner, just come!

What does this look like?

The studio will be tarped and blacklight will be throughout. The lounge will offer some relief if the blacklight gets to be too much. With the plastic tarp on the floor please be mindful of slip/trip hazards and uneven surfaces. We will do an opening circle to set intentions and go over the rules. Studio rules still apply so lower bits do still need to be covered. Beyond that there is little instruction. This is an event for you all to get those creative juices flowing. The studio will be nice and dark by 9pm this time of year so start time is 8pm.

But.. Rope?

THIS IS NOT A ROPE-CENTRIC EVENT! That said, rope is allowed but please bear in mind a tarped event means mess. You will likely get UV paint or makeup on whatever belongings you bring to the tarp. Two Rigs will remain untarped for those looking to do some suspension rope. Keep an eye out for Blacklight Rope Labs on the schedule periodically for a glow rope experience.

Can I bring stuffs?

Some paints, brushes, and temporary tattoos will be provided. Feel free to bring your own paints, markers, and supplies. Baby wipes will also be available for cleanup. Probably don’t bring in anything you wouldn’t want to potentially get paint on. Blacklights will be at the studio but if you want to bring some additional portable blacklights, you are welcome to. Glow Paints, cups and brushes, glow temporary tattoos, and a spot with a black backdrop to take photos of our masterpieces!

COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS

The following precautions will be in place for this event:

• For this event, masks will be optional
• Our capacity (guests, staff, and presenters included) will be capped at 24 people.
• Upon entry you must present your CDC vaccination card, electronic vaccine passport, or state issued vaccination certificate that shows that you have received your original COVID-19 vaccinations as well as a booster along with your government issued ID to check for a name match on the card/certificate/passport. You will not be admitted into the event if you do not present these documents. If your medical professional has advised you that you cannot get a booster at this time or you are ineligible for one because it has been less than 5 months since your last vaccination dose an exception will be granted.
