About the Event

Welcome to our first Photo Day in the Celebration of All Bodies in Rope Series! This is a day dedicated to celebrating YOU and your unique body in rope.

This photo day is dedicated to celebrating Men and Masc bodies in rope. And yes, Trans Men are Men. Come with a top, self tie, or reach out if you are having trouble finding a partner. House photographers will be present to take photographs of your ties. Wavers will be involved to protect all parties.

If you are unfamiliar with the series and want to know what it’s all about, full description is below.

A Celebration of All Bodies in Rope Series

Rope [rōp]

Noun

"A length of strong cord made by twisting together strands of natural fibers such as hemp or artificial fibers such as polypropylene."

New Oxford American Dictionary

Rope in it's physical form is nothing particularly special. Simply put, rope is a tool. What transforms rope into something special, something beautiful, artistic, connective, and intense are the beautiful humans involved. So much of our brains and emotions are put into doing rope but at the forefront is our bodies. Our amazing, unique bodies.

The Rope Community is alive and well but it is not perfect. There are many demographics that are simply underrepresented. So many of the most viewed rope photos showcase the bottom/model a smaller bodied woman/femme presenting human. They are beautiful and inspiring but sometimes that's almost every popular photo we see. Representation is important and that's where this series comes in. We believe rope is for ALL bodies. A rope bottom does not have to look any specific way to be valid, period. Unfortunately we do not see nearly as much diversity in rope and we want to change that. Our intention is to run a series of Rope Photography events at Upline highlighting one underrepresented group of humans in rope at each event. Our hope is to provide a welcoming space for those who wish to express themselves in rope who may not otherwise come out because they feel insecure or different. Sometimes being in a room full of people who look like you is exactly what you need to come out of your shell.

The second layer of this is we wish to collect voluntary photo submissions for a coffee table book/album to keep at Upline. The purpose of this book is to showcase the beautiful differences in us all; a tangible reminder of how much strength and beauty we have among us! Photo submissions do not have to be from a photo event, they can be any photo of you that make you feel strong, confident, or sexy. This means you do not need to make it to a photo event to be included and celebrated.

Some of the underrepresented demographics we intend to highlight are:

- POC Humans in Rope

- Trans Humans in Rope

- Men/Masculine Humans in Rope

- Mature Humans in Rope

- Tall/Fat/Curvy Humans in Rope

- Non-Binary/Gender Fluid/Agender Humans in Rope

- Varied Physical Abled Bodies in Rope

We will be announcing more Photo Events soon. Stay well and stay tuned!
